Due to unforeseen circumstances, the MMIW Gathering and all events (including the relay races, pow wow, stick game and fashion show) have been canceled effective June 6, 2022.

The AO team appreciates the initial support provided from the community.

Please do not take our cancellation of this event as an indication that we will not continue to advocate for the MMIW cause, as it is still very deeply important to our organization.

Due to high demand and interest, the fashion show will be postponed with the date to be determined.

Ticket sales will be refunded within 3-5 business days upon the day of refund.

Relay entry fees have not been cashed and will be returned by mail.

More information on the matter will be released in the next few days.

Thank you for understanding, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience as this is out of our control.

Pepper Boesel - Queen

Hello. I am thirteen years old and am a 7th grader at Brewster Middle School. I am proud to be a Colville Tribal member and Sinixt. I am very active in many extra-curricular activities include volleyball, softball, track, chess club, and soccer. What I enjoy most is playing basketball and my horses. I travel throughout the year playing basketball, most recently winning the 8th grade Championship in Portland, OR with my Ignite Travelling team. I am excited to rodeo this year and also compete in Junior Relay Racing. I can’t wait to learn from my Uncle Tyler Peasley and his Omak Express Team and hopefully follow in their footsteps to make not only my family proud, but represent my People and the Colville Reservation.

I am absolutely grateful for this opportunity to represent the “Gathering” as your Queen for 2022 to bring awareness to MMIW and honor our women as a community.

Addyson Boesel - Princess

Hi. I’m eleven years old. I go to Log Church Christian School in Brewster and am in the 5th grade. I am Pepper’s little sister and also a Sinixt band member and member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. I really like painting and drawing. I have lots of drawings and like to try new things. I also like playing soccer, and softball. I also really like playing basketball and can’t wait to play in tournaments and Hoopfest. When I am not competing in sports, I like to ride my horse. His name is TieDye and he always takes care of me. My favorite event in rodeos is goat tying. I practice a lot and it is fun getting off my horse at a run.  Like my sister, I am honored to be the Princess for the “Gathering” and hope you join us in June to celebrate.
